What We DoPlaza Academy is dedicated to educating and empowering at-risk youth who struggle in traditional academic settings. We provide a holistic, ownership-based learning environment where students take charge of their education and future. Through individualized instruction, therapeutic support, and a diverse, nurturing community, we help students overcome obstacles and develop the skills needed for long-term success. Our full-time licensed therapist and social worker offer counseling and social services that extend to students’ families, fostering a strong support system. We integrate education with mental health resources, career and college guidance, and post-graduation support to ensure students are prepared for life beyond high school. Our curriculum is designed to be relevant and engaging, incorporating students’ interests while reinforcing personal responsibility through an accountability-based approach. Beyond the classroom, Plaza Academy offers hands-on learning, extracurricular activities, and community service opportunities that broaden students’ perspectives and help them connect with the world around them. By addressing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—we create a school environment that is not only transformative but also empowering. At Plaza Academy, every student gets a second chance to realize their true potential and define success on their own terms.
