Parent Conferences We meet with our parents, weekly, for thirty minutes as we move through our curriculum. In these meetings, we review their teen's performance for the past week with the daily report home as a reference point. Our teacher's provide a written description of the previous week's classroom deportment, lesson completion, the student's grade, and antidotal observations. We ask our parents to bring their daily notes to school to be sure that we have uninterrupted daily communication. We conduct at least 5 of these meetings with each family at the beginning of each semester and thereafter as we need. After our parent's first series of meetings they understand the elements of our curriculum, treatment model, deportment measure and daily report, how we grade, our tutorial process, our incentive system, and how to manage their teen's incentives at home. Contingency Management Training for Parents Parents use these reports to deliver daily rewards contingent on their teenager's performance. Use of the family car, spending money, access to other goods and services under the parent's control are all powerful reinforcers for academic and civil behavior.
The progress of three students over thirteen weeks of school across each component of our educational and therapeutic curricula compared to the general population.
